Emmanuel: God With Us in Every Season

As we enter the festive season and look toward a new year, one truth continues to anchor my heart: Emmanuel – God with us!

It does not matter what has come against you this year. What matters is that God is with you.

When this truth settles in your spirit, fear loses its voice and faith begins to rise. You realise you are never walking alone. You are walking with the God who created you, called you and loves you.

A God Who Comes Looking for Us

From the beginning, Scripture reveals a Father who moves toward His children. When God said, “Adam, where are you?” it was not condemnation, it was the voice of a Father searching for His beloved. The gospel is not man finally finding God, it is God coming to find us. This has always been His story, a God who refuses to let distance remain, a God who would clothe Himself in flesh and walk among us.

The Name Above Every Name

Jesus is the Name above every name, above sickness, fear, governments and every accusation that tries to define you. At His Name, heaven responds, death loses its power and the Father welcomes us home. There is only one Name that saves, restores, redeems and turns orphans into sons and daughters. His Name is Jesus.

This season reminds us of His humility. The Creator became a man. Emmanuel, God in a man. And through the Holy Spirit, that same God now dwells in His people. You carry the presence that once filled temples. You carry the power that raised Jesus from the dead. You have a reason to rejoice every single day.

The Price He Willingly Paid

We also remember the price He paid.

Betrayed, beaten, scourged and crucified, yet fully in control. With one word He could have summoned angels, yet He remained silent so salvation could be secured. He took our curse so we could receive His blessing. He took our shame so we could share His glory. He took our death so we could receive His life.

And when He declared, “It is finished,” the veil was torn, separation ended and access to the Father was restored forever. This is why you can have hope. Jesus came to reveal that He is good, kind and near. He is not pointing a finger at you. He receives you because of what Christ has done. He watches over you and prepares your tomorrow before you arrive there.

Stepping Into 2026 With Confidence

As we look to 2026, make room for God in your decisions, your home and your heart. Be light in a world that grows darker. Carry hope. Love the unlovable. Strengthen the weary. Bring Jesus wherever you go. The fire inside you is not small. It is the fire of a consuming God.

Your dream is not dead, it is in process. Your battle is not final, God is with you in the fire and in the lion’s den. If you woke up this morning, you have reason to thank Him. The cross is empty. The grave is empty. Heaven is filling with those who have said yes to Jesus. Someone has lost and Someone has already won. All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him.
