Marriage has always been at the heart of God’s design, a sacred covenant meant to reflect His love and unity. Yet, we are living in a time where marriages are under attack—by the pressures of culture, by the enemy’s schemes, and by our own brokenness. Now more than ever, we must take a stand, fortify our homes, and realign with God’s original blueprint for marriage.

As we step into this season of Occupy at Empower Church, we declare that we will occupy families, marriages, and relationships with God’s presence, power, and purpose. The enemy has worked tirelessly to sow division, discord, and destruction, but the Lord is calling His people to reclaim what belongs to Him.

When we look at Scripture, we see that God established marriage before He established the church. Marriage was His first covenant between man and woman, designed to be a reflection of Christ’s relationship with His bride. But today, the enemy’s strategy is clear—if he can weaken marriages, he can weaken families, and if he weakens families, he weakens the next generation.

The battle for marriage is not just about our homes—it’s about our faith, our future, and the generations to come. We cannot allow culture to redefine what God has made holy. We cannot allow the world to dictate the terms of a covenant that was established in heaven.

So how do we fight for our marriages? We fight in prayer. We fight by standing on the Word. We fight by choosing love over offense, unity over division, and commitment over convenience. The time is now. The call is clear. We must occupy our homes with the presence of God and refuse to give the enemy any foothold.

I want to challenge every husband and wife reading this—do not allow the enemy to have the final say in your marriage. Take back what is rightfully yours. Choose today to restore, to rebuild, and to reaffirm your commitment before God.

It’s time to occupy. It’s time to stand firm. It’s time to see the glory of God return to our homes.
