Mother’s Day at Empower was nothing short of divine. From the opening worship to the final blessing, the presence of God was tangible—moving, healing, and empowering.

This wasn’t just a celebration of motherhood; it was a prophetic moment in time where we acknowledged the anointing, strength, and influence that women carry in God’s Kingdom. We honoured every woman—not just mothers by biology, but spiritual mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends who carry a mantle of worth.

Ps Shannon shared a powerful and heartfelt message rooted in one simple but profound word: “detachment.” She reminded us how life’s trials often cause people to feel detached from God—unsure of His safety, uncertain of His voice, and unfamiliar with His love. But in truth, God is always calling us into relationship. Into trust. Into connection.

Through the lens of motherhood and the deep emotional bond formed through attachment, she ministered on how God’s love mirrors the nurturing, sacrificial, and faithful heart of a mother. She called every woman to rise—not out of perfection, but purpose. Not because they’ve got it all together, but because they matter deeply in God’s design.

One line that stood out:

“You are an answer. You are exactly who your family, your community, and your nation needs right now.”

We were reminded that God’s love is like that of a mother—tender, sacrificial, protective, and unrelenting. And just as a child finds safety in the arms of a mother, so we are called to find our safety and voice in the presence of the Father.

To every woman reading this:

You are a woman of worth.

You are called.

You are seen.

You are needed.

Let this be a season where you return to attachment. Where you find safety, trust, and your voice again—in God, in His church, and in your divine purpose.
