One of the greatest truths I can share with you is this: Righteousness is not earned. It’s a gift.

In Colossians 2:14-15, we see Jesus tearing up every “handwriting of requirements” against us. He nailed every failure, every sin, and every burden to the cross. The moment He said, “It is finished,” the work was done — for you and for me.

So why do we still carry things we’re not meant to? Why do we allow voices of condemnation, fear, or guilt to define us?

Today, I want you to understand:

  • Righteousness means freedom: You are no longer bound to your past or mistakes.
  • Righteousness means victory: Your identity is secure in Christ.
  • Righteousness means overflow: Seek first God’s kingdom, and everything else will follow.

It’s not by sweat, but by grace. You don’t have to “strive” for righteousness — you already have it because of Jesus.

Stop carrying what Jesus has already finished. It’s your right, as a child of God, to walk in freedom, healing, and wholeness.

In Christ’s righteousness,
Prophet Gebhardt Berndt
