Obedience is a cornerstone of faith. As believers, our walk with God requires unwavering trust and radical obedience to His word, even when it doesn’t make sense. Obedience isn’t optional; it’s God’s command.
Saul’s Example: A Lesson in Compromise
The story of Saul in 1 Samuel 15 shows us the cost of disobedience. Saul compromised under pressure and prioritised the opinions of people over the command of God. As a result, he lost his anointing. Compromise in obedience always leads to loss.
Radical Obedience Leads to Supernatural Provision
Abraham’s obedience in Genesis 22, even when asked to sacrifice Isaac, demonstrated unwavering trust in God. His faith was counted as the fear of the Lord, which opened the door to supernatural provision. Jehovah Jireh—the God who provides—reveals Himself when we step out in faith.
Obedience Brings Wisdom and Blessing
When we obey, we step into God’s purpose, which grants access to His wisdom. Wisdom, in turn, leads to prosperity. As Prophet Gebhardt shared, “Obedience makes you access the fear of the Lord, the fear of the Lord brings wisdom, and wisdom enables you to prosper.”
Call to Action:
As we prepare for the first fruits conference, let us not only bring our offerings but also present ourselves in obedience. Align your heart with God’s mission and watch Him transform your life in 2025.
Blessings,
Prophet Gebhardt
